The Role

This role is key to help drive growth and success of the company by proactively provide analysis and suggestions for new investments and business opportunities to the key management team, CEO, and board committee, in the field of luxury hospitality. The role is also key in the monitoring and analysis of secured projects and trading hotels, for fast and correct implementation of needed activities to ensure maximum profitability of the businesses. The candidate should not only have good analytical and financial skills but should also have excellent communication skills to autonomously collaborate with all business functions within the organization, as well as manage the relationships with external peer-counterparts and partners. This role will be directly managed and supervised by the Head of Business Development.

Tasks

Preparation of feasibility reports and business proposals for group’s CEO, investors, partners, stakeholders, and board committee, as well as providing conclusions and recommendations to drive actions in the interest of the business.
Actively support the Business Development Manager with the relationship with key partners and autonomously lead the relationship with current and new peer-counterparts.
Actively support in bi-weekly and monthly meetings with the Fund and Management Team as well as taking the lead in the preparation of reporting materials.
Actively support the Head of Business Development with the negotiation of commercial contracts for the redaction of Head of Terms and MOUs across all hospitality businesses.
Conduct market research in the context of new hotel development opportunities and redact business plan projections and assumptions.
Work on special business development projects, in coordination with the Head of Business Development and Group competent Functions.
Support with the monitoring of trading hotels’ performance and ensure constant communication with operating partners.
Supervise and assign tasks to the business development intern as well as supporting him/her with their professional growth and acquisition of needed skillset.
Participate to industry networking events and conferences attended by peers.

Key Requirements

The ideal candidate should have completed a Bachelor’s Degree in either Business, Finance, Real Estate, Hospitality or other related fields.
Two years of proven work experience in the field of hospitality and real estate with good knowledge of financial models and P&L statements, as well as good understanding of the current and future hotel investment market and of international lifestyle and luxury hotel brands.
Proficiency in all the Microsoft Office package and ability to work on financial models using Microsoft Excel, and prepare presentations for the Management, CEO and all stakeholders using Microsoft PowerPoint.
Good analytical and technical skills with the ability to identify and report important financial information, as well as analytically interpret P&L statements in the context of hotel businesses with the ability to transfer and apply this knowledge to different hospitality sectors.
Good understanding of hotel management contracts and lease contracts in the field of hospitality to successfully support with the negotiation of commercial terms and redaction of contracts.
Fluency in both Italian and English. Additional languages will be considered a plus.
Has excellent communication and organizational skills in order to seamlessly represent the company with colleagues, partners and stakeholders.
Must work well under pressure and can effectively handle multiple tasks.
Ability to prioritize responsibilities.
The role may require traveling across Italy and abroad.
